AGE 6-8?
WHAT IS A BEAVER COLONY?
Beaver Scouts are our youngest members (aged between 6 and 8). They usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities.
They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them.
The Beaver Scout Colonies are run by Beaver Scout Leaders with at least three of the Leaders in attendance each week. All leaders are volunteers who give their time for free and receive special training for their role. The Leaders are responsible for planning and running a programme of activities and games at Colony meetings and special events.
Chief Scout's Bronze Award
The Chief Scouts’ Award runs through all sections of the movement. This is the highest award in the Beaver Section.
To complete this award a Beaver must have completed the above six challenges.

ACTIVITIES AND AWARDS
Beavers will enjoy a great deal of fun and adventure whilst in the Colony, which will lead to the award of badges to wear on their uniform. These are given in recognition of the effort made at their own level of understanding and development.
